About us

Born from a true love at first sight for Sri Lanka, the jewel of the Indian Ocean, this project is above all a story of passion and sharing.

After six visits to the island, two French women, Alexandra and her mother Marie, chose to settle here and bring to life a place that reflects who they are: an intimate boutique hotel nestled in the south of the country.

Their wish? To be close to the ocean, while staying away from the hustle and bustle of crowded beaches. Here, serenity and nature are the foundations of a simple and authentic way of life, which they nurture every day.

Committed to an environmentally responsible approach, Alexandra and Marie strive to minimize their ecological footprint by favoring sustainable and mindful practices. They also hope to share this vision with their guests, as well as with the local community.

The hotel features six rooms, each carefully decorated by their own hands. Every space is inspired by a different region of the island, offering travelers a glimpse into the richness and diversity of Sri Lanka—an invitation to explore even before setting out.

Each morning, a generous breakfast is served, showcasing fresh and organic products: seasonal fruits, freshly pressed juices, fine teas, and herbal infusions, all prepared according to your wishes.

The swimming pool, enhanced by a cascading waterfall, offers a true haven of relaxation in the heart of a lush garden. In the shade of tall trees and surrounded by blooming plants, guests can enjoy peaceful moments away from the tropical sun.

At the back of the property, a botanical garden is gradually taking shape. It allows visitors to discover medicinal plants and local spices, while learning how to recognize them.

Finally, Villa Lyvie offers a warm and soothing spa space, dedicated to massages and Ayurvedic treatments, provided by a qualified practitioner recognized for their expertise in Ayurvedic medicine.
